My ramblings take me to some wonderful places near & far. MOHONK MT HOUSE in whatever season or mood never fails to inspire me to take the long drive. Both my sketchbook & camera were put to good use. Stunning late fall foliage!

CT FOLIAGE, WHITE FLOWER FARM

Glorious foliage on  the backroads of Connecticut. White Flower Farm was my scenic destination over the weekend. The farm's 5 acres of display gardens are beautiful any time.

FALL MAGIC

Alot of the fall foliage came down from the crazy storm, last week. There's still plenty of colors, with a little imagination, one might find a few fairies in the woods?

CRISP FOLIAGE

For me, painting landscape feels the most natural. Foliage & water make a nice contrast of textures; on a bright crisp late autumn day along Lake Ave.

CONNECTICUT LIGHTS

On these lovely Fall days in Connecticut, finding a subject is never a problem. When I have the time, I like to flip thru art books at the library before setting out with my sketchbook. Today, I spend some time on American Impressionist-painters of Light & Modern Landscape.
