PERE LACHAISE CEMETARY

Here's another favorite Paris attraction that takes me off the beaten path. With a sketchbook & a picnic, I can spend all day at the Pere Lachaise Cemetery. It's 70,000 ornate & ostentatious tombs is truly an open air museum!

RODIN MUSEUM, PARIS

My visual re-cap of a long weekend in Paris. Top on my TO DO list is the Rodin Museum. A gem of a museum. It's elegance calms the soul.

Le Bon Marche is in the neighborhood, with a picnic from the Grand Epicerie, I can easily spend half the day in the garden.

SACRE COEUR

Paris offers so much that after all these years, it still remains fresh for my painterly eyes. Instead of being overwhelm with a new city & new adventures, I start my artful day with catching a sunrise from Sacre Coeur.

I then go into the church & open my sketchbook while the angels sing! A pretty lovely start to my Paris Ramblings.

TAKE ME TO PARIS

Illuminated script from my archive
From a quick sketch that's not exactly exciting. Photoshop lets me play with various layers to turn this into an interesting greeting.

SACRE COEUR

Sacre Coeur is built on the highest point of Paris. This steep butte of Montmartre is associated with artists for 200 years. The majestic view of the domed & turreted Sacre Coeur is best seen from the garden below. One can spot it from various parts of the city.

PARIS SOLITUDE

For a bustling city, Paris offers me a form of solitude...ah, the luxury of time & the infinite opportunity to ramble.

PARIS GREETINGS

It really helps not to be tie down to commitments, as an artist. My rambling life style  has taken me to many far off places over the years. I keep returning to Paris because the city is a wellspring of inspirations. Around every corner, another picturesque spot to explore, another quaint shop to check out. Weather is still mild, I'm sure I will come up with lots more inspiration for MY PARIS RAMBLINGS, before I go home.
